Persistence is important but…

Persistence is very important but you need to consistently be analyzing if your process is correct. Are you working the most effective and efficient way possible. For example, some people play sports multiple times a week but hardly improve over ten years time. Why is this? Are they not capable of getting better? Of course they are! The real answer lies in how they are achieving the result. What are they thinking about? What actions are they taking? It is not just about repetitions and persistence. You have to make sure what you are doing is correct, otherwise you are driving away from your goal. For example, the golfer who goes out and plays each weekend but doesn’t improve their score needs to figure out how to improve their swing and mental game. Then they need to put the correct actions into play. It isn’t always about trying harder. We have to assess if there is a better way.
