I believe that we all want peace, fulfillment, and satisfaction. As adults we strive for the joys that we experienced when we were younger. Many times we do this through means such as food, alcohol, and activities that will not fill this hole but may lead to further pain for us and others. The key is finding a place of daily gratitude and choosing activities that have long-term positive effects such as exercise, eating healthy, reading, spending time with friends, and time for reflection. We all seek this feeling of contentment.
