Personal Responsibility

“Some of the traits that help predict the future pros are behavioral. The future pros not only tend to practice more, but they take responsibility for practicing better.”-Elferink-Gemser, The Sports Gene by David Epstein

Personal responsibility is a critical factor for success. Rather than letting the environment dictate the outcome, successful people whether they want to be pro athletes or successful business people take pride in their work on a daily basis. They realize when it is time to work and when it is time to relax or goof off. They do not blame others for outcomes. Instead they take responsibility for them and in turn become more determined to achieve their goals.
